Research Specialist
I currently manage the basic Y-chromosome (male-specific)
genealogical DNA testing offered through Family Tree DNA and for public
participants in the Genographic Project.
Test management includes sample tracking, testing and data finishing.
Additionally, I am the laboratory
supervisor for the DNA Shoah project.
The DNA Shoah Project is a humanitarian effort to reunite families
separated during the Holocaust. My duties include public outreach, sample
management, panel development, and design of educational outreach
activities.
I am a proud local Tucsonan and
received by B.S. from the University
of Arizona in General
Biology. In addition to Biology, I have
also studied secondary science education, and am enthusiastic to share my love
of science with students of all ages. At
HOGL, educational outreach is an integral part of our mission. Therefore I am involved in many aspects of
our educational outreach program, as well as undergraduate mentorship and
ongoing staff development.
